CHECK FOR VIRUSES ON YOUR MAC USING A TEMPORARY INSTALL OF A REPUTABLE ANTI-VIRUS APP. EXAMPLE: AntiVirus One 1. Go to Apple App Store.
2. Search for 'AntiVirus One' app.
3. Download AntiVirus One app.
4. Check appropriate boxes to use app.
5. Run a Smart, Quick or Full Scan - none take more than a minute.
6. 'No thanks' to upgrade options.
7. Full Scan takes a few more seconds.
8. After running Scan and no Viruses found, QUIT app.
9. Check 'No' on last option.
10. Use AppCleaner to delete AntiVirus One and all components on Mac. See how.
