Hyperlink URL in TextEdit

1. Type the URL or any word desired in TextEdit.
2. Highlight that word.
3. In the TextEdit Menu, select Format > Text > Link. (in OSX 10.6.8 and later go to Edit > Add Link)
4. In the Dialog Box type (or copy/paste) the URL link.
