Use Preview Tools to Erase
Example: To remove the 'keys' from the screenshot image below - 1. Open the image in Preview.
2. Go to Preview > Tools > Annotate > Rectangle
3. A rectangle tool will open on the image.
4. Make adjustments to the rectangle's backgound and border colors.
5. Use the blue 'handles' to adjust shape and size. of rectangle.
6. Click and hold to move the shape to desired location.
7. Click off image to deselect - then save.
