How to Retrieve a Forgotten Password with KeyChain Access

Use this built-in Mac app (found in the Utilities folder) to store passwords associated with your computer - if you change passwords, be sure to open KeyChain to delete outdated or unneeded passwords - also you can look up a forgotten password to copy or use manually on other devices.

Go to Desktop Menu > Go > Utilities Folder > Keychain Access - - - open it.

Unlock KeyChain Access (if necessary) with your user login PW.

Click on a login Password item.

Then click little box by 'Show Password' - choose Allow always, Deny or Allow - enter user PW.
